Contact

Contact Adrián García Caballero on X/Twitter at @techywater. Include your device model, iOS version and the app version shown at the bottom of the Settings tab.

Please do not send your QRZ password or a full logbook export unless it is needed to reproduce a problem.

Park Names Are Not Appearing

The offline reference database is not loaded on first launch. Open Settings, tap Load Internal Database and wait for the confirmation — it takes roughly ten seconds. Then enter a reference such as US-1065 and the park name and distance will appear.

Self-Spotting Is Not Working

Self-spotting needs three things: your callsign set in Settings, a location permission granted, and a park reference in the log entry. The SELF-SPOT button stays greyed out until it has them.

Versions before 2.2 only sent spots over Wi-Fi, which meant self-spotting could not work in the field. Update to 2.2 or later, which uses cellular as well.

QRZ Lookups Fail

QRZ name lookups require an active QRZ.com XML subscription on your account. Check the credentials in Settings and use Test Connection. Repeated failures with a wrong password will make QRZ temporarily block the account — the app shows the time when it will unblock.

Moving Your Log Somewhere Else

Open the History tab and tap Export to produce a standard ADIF file, which LoTW, QRZ, Club Log and desktop loggers all accept. Import works the same way and will enrich the imported contacts with QRZ names when credentials are set.

Band Plans And Regulations

Band plans are reference material based on published ARRL and RSGB charts. They are not a substitute for knowing your licence privileges. You remain responsible for verifying what you are allowed to transmit, on which frequencies, in your country and for your licence class.
