Times use the destination calendar's timezone. Check that timezone before sharing, especially when travelling. An end time earlier than the start means the shift ends the following day.

Changing the start date or the number of days in the cycle creates a new series that sits alongside the old one. Days off do not create events.

Frequently asked questions
- What does a 4-on/4-off or 6-on/2-off shift mean?
- The first number is the run of working days and the second the run of rest days: 4-on/4-off is four days working and four off, repeating indefinitely. You can enter any combination here, not just the common ones, up to 366 days.
- Which date should I use as day 1 of the cycle?
- Pick a day you are sure about and set day 1 of the cycle to the shift you worked that day. The calculator repeats the sequence forwards and backwards from there, so you can also look up months that have already passed.
- Does the downloaded calendar update by itself?
- No: it is a copy of the month you download. If you correct a shift and download that same month again, re-importing updates those same events. Changing the start date or the cycle length creates a new series that sits alongside the old one.
- Do you store my roster?
- No. The whole calculation happens in your browser: the cycle is never sent to a server or stored, and it is gone when you close the page. Download the file if you want to keep it.
